As Founder of
Ellevate, a boutique communication dynamics agency, it is my honor to guide business
people making positive change. How? Through game changing programs developing diverse talent's strengths, communicative know-how and leadership presence.
As an experienced certified coach it is my privilege to roll up my sleeves, link arms and work with clients at Apple, Pixar Animation Studios, Google, The World Bank, General Assembly, Fuse Project, Steelcase, Capgemini, Gannett, Pearson, Chrysler, Fjord, Samsung, Tomorrow Partners, Intuit, Workday, AutoDesk, Iron Creative Communication, Zoo Labs, Blackboard, The Nature Conservancy, Gensler, Light Sail Energy, Strong Brew, Rootid, Tipping Point Community, Swisscom, Oru Kayak, Full Circle Fund, Teall Capitol and Linked-In.
As an Associate Professor I am a founding member of the pioneering MBA in Design Strategy California College of the Arts, teaching my popular communication course “Live Exchange: Generative Communication”. After 10 years of researching communication dynamics I now provide highlights of the course to the business community.
I am honored to have been designated Women In Leadership Sage by the MBA Design Strategy students in their innovative Women in Leadership project.
It has been my pleasure to provide interactive presentations on communication & creative thinking at Harvard, IDEO, The Cooper Hewitt Design Museum, AIGA, DOD Education Activity, Visual Media Alliance and Blackboard.
I have served as Advisor/Documenter for The Making Learning Visible Institute at Harvard and consulted for the Education Branch of the Department of Defense on Meaningful Studio Critique.
While I confess I don't play a musical instrument (though music threads my life) I also coach music bands on optimizing performance by directing their strengths. One musician wrote "Like a swift wind blowing dead leaves from a garden, Elle connects members of a team in a way that leads to new creations and richer relationships".
What you won't find out from my credentials is that I have a practice as a painter and have made peace with any guilt about how often I am in studio. I have had a meditation practice for 25 years and live in the San Francisco Bay Area where its perfectly okay to call yourself "A Design Thinking Catalyst".
